Every year, we traipse across our property in search of the perfect Christmas tree. Miraculously, we always find one. (Our woods consists mostly of tall pines - and poison ivy.) Bootsie found this one, and she and Monkey Man cut it down. 
It's a good thing that almost all of our ornaments are made of yarn or paper. The poor little branches of the cedar can't support much else. Sometimes I dream of having a tastefully decorated, color coordinated, artificial tree, but I don't think it would be quite as memorable or loved as our kid-decorated, homespun ones.
