Lookee what we made...

Crafty Sugar Baby made this beaded butterfly yesterday.

I made these mini-cupcakes this morning, but they didn't turn out quite as cute as I had hoped. Still tasty, though!

Newborns

These cherry tomato seedlings are looking a little leggy, but beautiful nontheless. We already have boatloads of potatoes, peas and greens in the ground. Hopefully these seedlings will make it there someday too.

Ladies and gentlemen.... May I present to you:

The First Lizard of the Season
(according to Monkey Man & Mr. C.)

And so begins a season of chasing, trapping and terrifying every reptile and amphibian inhabiting this here land. My boys love catching lizards & were so excited to find this one earlier today. Thankfully, they let him go after only a few minutes of captivity. [Run, lizard, RUN!]

Nosy neighbors...

Do you have nosy neighbors? We do. They unashamedly come to our windows and stare in. In broad daylight!

I take pictures of them & threaten to call the law. But it does no good. They keep staring.

You'd think they'd try to be a little more inconspicuous. But no, they are just plain rude. You'd think they were born in a barn or something. (Or an incubator.)

Gone Fishing...

Bobby the Kitten has recently discovered the fish tank. He loves water anyway, but water with moving things in it is almost too much for him to handle.

Here he is after I fussed at him for sticking his paws in the water. He's annoyed, and trying to play it cool.

A little patience...

Woohoo! It snowed!! The kids & I took the day off from school yesterday to play in it. We went sledding, threw snowballs & built an igloo.

Bootsie, the animal lover, got some chicken feed and sat patiently in the snow for a while, waiting for the birds. They inched closer and closer, and then to our amazement, they even hopped onto her hand and ate from it!

It was such a fun day!
