Fashion Queenie

In the past few weeks, Queenie has become increasingly picky about her clothing. For some reason, dresses have become a fashion no-no and skirts with shirts are all the rage.

Take this adorable outfit, for instance:
The dress is brown corduroy and her boots are pink cowgirl boots. Also, check out her hairstyle - two ponytails on the sides. Really cute, right? Wrong. For some reason, Queenie doesn't like the boots, the dress of course, is a dress, not a skirt and she only wants "one ponytail right here in the back."

Now, this outfit is more like it. We found the shirt & skirt separately at the thrift store recently and she wanted to change into it right there in the store. Thankfully, I was able to hold her off until we got home and washed it. She really liked the skirt because it had so many "rupples".

She did not like this shirt until we told her what it said.
Here, she is wearing a hat I made for her when she was about 4 months old. She insists it still fits and really likes wearing it.

I'm learning that her fashion requirements are that it must be a skirt and a shirt, it must be colorful (with pink being the dominant color), and it must be fit for a princess (or newborn:).
