Migrant Laborers

Today we travelled to Daddy Duck's brother's farm and helped him dig sweet potatoes. This is Daddy Duck and our gang heading out to the field this morning. Everyone was full of energy and raring to go.We ended up helping dig - or pick up- 8 rows of sweet potatoes. We had to use gloves, so as to not damage their delicate skin, and then we helped fill these buckets that are lined up. Later, the buckets were picked up by the truck.
Some, actually most, of the sweet potatoes were very big. We left a lot in the ground that Daddy Duck's bro said he would pick up later to use as seed potatoes for next year.
Daddy Duck found two newborn mice, and Superhero found several frogs. Queenie found a worm and named it "Wormy".

Other ducklings also got a little distracted from time to time...

Daddy Duck's bro still has lots of potatoes to dig. We were glad to get to help him at least a little bit. It was fun and exhausting!
