We had more guineas, but over a year ago, the mother was killed (by a dog or raccoon?) while sitting on a clutch of eggs in the woods. There were 3 eggs left unharmed in the nest. We took these eggs and put them under one of our big mama chickens. Two hatched, one died shortly thereafter, and this one lived on to tell the story.
This guinea is very loud and very unintelligent [are they all like that?]. She's also very entertaining - sometimes. Recently, she has begun landing on our back porch rail and will stand there and squawk for about 1/2 an hour. It finally occured to me that she is watching her reflection in the french doors on the back of our house. Maybe she is trying to woo that other guinea in the door?
Her squawking sounds something like "ker-QUACK, ker-QUACK, ker-QUACK...HONK, HONK, HONK!!" Over and over again...

LOOOOOL at your guinea! And your cabbit is hilariously cute :)
