Seeing blue!

Seeing blue! About a month ago we found out that our twins are boys! Gulp - that'll make FIVE boys total. I wonder if our house will hold up?

Tomorrow will be 27 weeks & we're praying that these little guys will stay put for a while longer. I've had to seriously cut back on a lot of my normal activity in order to keep the contractions at bay. The time is ticking by s l o w l y...    Thankfully though, I've got a house full of handy, helpful people!

Tap, Tap, Tap... Is this thing on?

Wow, it has been a very long time since my last post. And a LOT has happened since then!
My bakery business took off and with that and all the duties of wife, mom, homeschooler, etc... I've been left with little time or energy to post here. Not to mention facebook.

I've joined facebook. And it is a lot easier to post there than here.

Anyhoo... a few months ago this happened to us:

And life immediately erupted into a churning sea of anticipation, excitement, joy, terror, nausea and fatigue.  Twin A and Twin B are expected to arrive sometime in early 2013! Stay tuned for further, and hopefully more frequent, updates...

Owl Pellets, Part 2

A while back I ordered owl pellets for the kids to dissect. It was kinda cool (and a little gross). However, what was really cool is that one of the boys found one in our woods yesterday and he recognized it immediately. It was way bigger than the ones we had bought.
There was a lot of hair and one fairly big bone. We think it was from a rabbit.

An overdue birthday

A couple of weeks ago, we had yet another birthday and I never got around to posting about it!
Here he is, our man Mr. C, all dressed up for his day at the state capitol with TeenPact.

His big sisters made him this cake:
He said it was his best birthday ever! A great day for a great guy. Happy 10th, Mr. C! :)

A Day Trip

Today, as part of Sugar Baby's birthday celebration, we headed east to the beautiful coast.
First, we made cupcakes with my mother-in-law.Then we headed down to the beach & explored. It was such a beautiful day,
sunny & just a little chilly.
One of the boys found this egg sack and discovered tiny baby conchs inside.
There are so many beautiful things at the beach. Take these barnacles for instance...
Mr. C found a tree to climb. (and pose in)
Queenie wanted me to take a picture of her "pretty rock".
Mae wanted to run and bite the waves. And run and run and run!
